Draft from blue smoke. Pours a clearish but not shiny gold. A bit of a floral aroma. Taste is clean and kolschy. One of the better american kolsches.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled in 8/2014. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, apple, pear, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with solid balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast notes. Pretty weak in strength and too fruity on the nose. Taste of lemon, pear, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly dry mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a nice and pleasant Kolsch style beer. Good balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Pours hazy, yellow-gold with a short, off-white head. Aroma is lemon....grain. Taste is the same....very light and crisp. Pretty nice.

Well, I kind of feel guilty for pairing this poor little fellow with the likes of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and Deschutes The Abyss, but, let’s be honest. This is a stinker. Hazy light yellow body, thin off-white head. Corny, sweet aroma with grassy hops. Light, watery, corny body, grassy, with honey-like sweetness. A bit cardboardy. Pass.
