Bottle from Holiday Market. Pours a clear copper with a finger of off-white foam that dissipates. Bready malt aromas with some light peppery hop aromas as it warms. More of the same on the palate. Very drinkable, lighter in body. Smooth finish with toasted malt with a light touch of noble hop bite.

Sample at Bridge Street Tap Room. Reddish-orange color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, hops and caramel. Light to medium body with flavors of grainy malt, caramel and noble hops. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap. Pours a clear amber with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of bread and light grain notes with a hint of biscuit. Flavor has lots of bread with a touch of sweet grain and hay underlying.

Looks nice out of a bottle, twist off. Smoother malt impact. Pretty good sizzle. Co2 covers any perceivable ill attitudes. Finish is rather smooth, getting better than I thought it was.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly clear orange copper color with a nice 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Good spotty lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of caramel, apple, pear, biscuit, grape, toast, nuttiness, herbal, floral, and light earth. Pretty nice aromas with decent strength and balance. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, apple, pear, nuttiness, herbal, grass, and earthy spiciness. Small amount of spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruit, caramel, toast, biscuit, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Good balance of flavors with decent complexity. Fairly robust with no cloying sweetness at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a nice oktoberfest. Good flavor balance; very crisp and smooth to drink. Enjoyed this quite a bit.

12oz bottle via Stevens Point. Slight;y hazy orange-copper. Thin, off white head. Ouch. Any time premium or especially super premium come into play, you know you are in dangerous territory. This one is medium bodied, grainy, and tastes like radioactive factory swill. Deep, cheap sugary tones. Really unenjoyable.

On tap at Reno’s East, East Lansing. Hazy coppery red-brown body, medium tight buff head. Sweet nose, mainly toasty with brown sugar. Sweet, toasty body with brown sugar, delicately bitter leafy hops, and hints of candy corn. A pretty good domestic oktoberfest.
