Traditional semi-sweet wildflower honey-wine aged not less than six months in virgin medium+ toasted American oak casks. Smoky character with vanilla and cream hints. This mead is perfect for the whiskey and craft-style beer lover or for anyone who enjoys an oak forward Chardonnay.

Awesome. Med-full lemon/orange/floral honey sweetness; oak/light vanilla/cream/fruit/earth/spice. Balanced sweet/tannic oak finish. Smooth. --- Beer merged from original tick of Superior Lakes Barrel Aged Mead on 04 Jun 2016 at 15:27 - Score: 8. Original review text:

Bottle. Pours a clear pale pee like yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a good amount of dry wine with a bit of earthiness, sweetness and barrel coming through. Flavor starts with sweet honey and vanilla and has a good amount of wood/earthiness in the finish with a bit of dryness as well.
