26.09.2013, tap (as De Molen Cease & Desist) @ Arendsnest:
Almost non existing bubbly head. Aroma is slightly dry and spiced, dark malts, oak, alcohol, licorice, anise, grass, even more oak. Taste is dry and boozy, dark malts, oak, aquavit, almond essence, licorice, cardboard, grass. Very dry longlasting mouthfeel. Not a chanse this could be the same beer as the lovely Rasputin...

Mersmak i lange baner. Fra flaske på Mi2 Cardinal jan-20: fortsatt like god! Og en befrielse etter 3 ulike De Molen imperial stouts type heavily flavoured.

Bottle 33 cl, as Rasputin. Black with a minimal light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruit and some licorice sense. Sweet with a good chocolate, dark fruit and malt sense at the end. Medium body, nice beer. Should I have waited a few more years? Bottled 27/02/13, bb. 25 yrs.(02.2038)

0.33 l bottle from 'Rudat' as 'Rasputin', 10.4% abv, bottled in April 2017. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, just slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut and some coffee. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of chocolate, nuts, some coffee and a touch of licorice, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, slightly earthy and a bit boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, just a bit too boozy.

Black beer, thin white head. Smell and aroma are all malt, chocolate, liquorice goodness. Rich and hearty, it wasn't cheap but worth every sip.

Bottle. Rasputin, bottled 01/10/2015. Color: Almost black, very thin beige head. Taste: Medium to over medium sweet very dark roasted malt, pretty strong caramel and toffee notes, dark chocolate and very lightly boozy. Lightly tending to Port. Moderate bitter. Little more boozy bitter roasted finish, bit warming mouthfeel. Full body, soft carbonation. Very nice classic RIS example.
