From tap at Der Pelikan, Bamberg. Sweet malt and caramel aroma with some dark bread and toffee. Rather sweet and lacking a little hoppiness. Body is almost medium. Drinkable but bland.

Tap at Pelikan. #8. Clear deep golden. Sour, old wood. Taste is back heavy, with a buttery sweet bubblegum aftertaste. Had worse.

11th Sep 2018. On-tap outside the Hofbrau in Bamberg on a warm and sunny afternoon. Clear golden body, white crown that stayed longer than most Hellesbier normally do. Not much aroma or taste but refreshing, crisp and clean. Ideal after pounding the streets of Bamberg all morning.

Draft @ Stilbruch, Bamberg. Pours a dark golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy aroma. Fruity malty grainy weak bready caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy finish.

500ml vom fass at Stilbruch, shared with Finn. Chalk white head, minimal lacing. Crystal clear amber coloured body. Malty aroma, mid-sweet. Mild caramel malty flavours added by citric hints. Crispy in the mouth. Soft to lively carbonated. Satisfying (Bamberg 12.10.2014).

Fra fat på Stilbruch, Bamberg 12 Okt 14. Mørk gylden. Lavt skum som flater helt ut. Klar maltaroma. Smaken har preg av karamell. Uvariert.
