Draft at Hofbrau Bamberg. Deep Golden color with white head. Aroma of grainy malt, light hops. Taste is more on malty side, light noble hops in finish. No tan ad at all, refreshing.

From tap at Der Pelikan, Bamberg. Sweet malt and caramel aroma with some dark bread and toffee. Rather sweet and lacking a little hoppiness. Body is almost medium. Drinkable but bland.

11th Sep 2018. On-tap outside the Hofbrau in Bamberg on a warm and sunny afternoon. Clear golden body, white crown that stayed longer than most Hellesbier normally do. Not much aroma or taste but refreshing, crisp and clean. Ideal after pounding the streets of Bamberg all morning.
