Over the centuries, the Ohio River slowly formed and undulated into many twists and bends carving out valleys through middle America. A breathtaking view of this phenomenon can be seen on the hills above Madison, Indiana, where the mighty Ohio performs three bends on its way to Louisville.
Three Turns Session IPA was created to be enjoyed in the hot summer and early fall days, preferably with some live music and a plate of barbecue. Crisp and refreshing, with layers of hop flavors and aromas ranging from fresh citrus, pine, and mango. Only hints of light bitterness zap the tongue, a good introductory IPA for the curious, and an exemplary offer for the hophead.

On menu as 4.7% abv 46 ibu and “Three Turns - summer 2020 IPA”. The description is exactly the same as the older Three Turns shown here though, so I’ll rate it here. Pours lightly hazy orange with a heavily lacing head. Aroma mainly of caramel malt with a little citrus. Flavor is, well, it’s definitely a session ipa. Moderate bitterness at most. Lightly toasted caramel malt. Some citrus hops. It’s okay.

Draft: Clear amber with a short, off-white head. Light biscuit and caramel scent. Taste is a bit amber ale-like....mild caramel malt, earthy grains.... a bit of citrus. Mild....not bad at all.
