W zapachu troche nijakie, ciemne owocki kapke jakby? Ale generalnie troche pustawo. A w smaku sok z cytryny, tylko nie az tak kwasny, przedziwnie

Bottle. Color: Almost black, frothy creme head. Never seen a black Berliner Weisse before. Aroma: Sourish, candy hints. Taste: Moderate tart, malt, grain, subtle notes of lemon and funk, light hints of coffee and candy. Lightly sweet and bitter. Medium body, average carbonation. Unusual and also quite nice beer.

Bottle at Craig’s. It pours near black with a medium beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, tangy, plum, date, prune, fruit scone and rocky road. The taste is dry, tart, tangy, sour plum, date, prune, sherbet, good mouth - pucker, soor plooms, spritzy, must and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty approachable.

Re-rating - loads of blackcurrant coming through this time and very enjoyable. Would go 3.7, so average out at 3.5. Previous tasting on 28/04/18 = 7 + 4 + 6 + 3 + 13 = 3.3. Bottle from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - dark brown to black and opaque. Big fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate, light soy, mushroom ketchup and general umami earthiness. Taste - black rice vinegar, black olives, tapenade and some chocolate closes it out. Palate - close to medium bodied, but long lean and tight through the middle and finish. Overall - interesting and quite good.
