At a tasting, thanks, smallish bubbly head, murky darkish brown color with yellow hues, aroma of sour bread, candy and oxidised notes, oxidised nutty candy flavor, quite sweet but not over the top. Nice.

Bottle. Mahogany color, yellow foam. Aroma: sweet, jam, dried fruit, sweet malt, dessert wine, raisins and dried gooseberries with currants, raspberries and marmalade. Taste: sweet and dense, gooseberries and currants, fruit cake, raspberry, brandy, licorice, medium bitterness. Belgian ale with a strong Italian accent, but good.

Thanks for sharing Kraddel + tderoeck +Friends. Sampled draft @ Vini, Birre, Ribelli 2017. Dark amber brown. Nose is sweet dark fruit, sugar, caramel, fudge brown honey. Taste is thick sweet near oxidized dates, sugar, caramel, sweet candy, syrup, raisin. Thick sweet syrupy sludge very neat.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Aroma is strong nuts and caramel, toasted malts, very straightforward. Body is heavy, levitated by hints of sourness and a soft carbonation. Bourbon and vanilla notes. Long sour palate. Very nice.

Draught @ Birra +. Aroma has sweet sugary tones and plums. Flavour is sweet with funky yeasty tones, ripe fruits and licorice. Drinkability is great. Reminds me of some Gouden Carolus beers.

Bottle split at the Manny G tasting, from a trade with Luca in Roma, 28/06/14. Hazed mahogany brown with a good sized light tan covering of bubbles. Nose is dark fruit peel, tobacco, dark malt notes, spice, hint of ginger, leather, nutmeg, faint soap. Taste comprises dates, dark fruit rinse, spice, earthy, fruit cake, leather, nutty tinge, pipe tobacco. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light warming booze and a pinch of spice in the close. Decent enough Belgian Strong.
