Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours hazy amber with a thick, creamy yellow-beige head. The nose has fruitcake, dates, toast, toffee. Medium sweet flavor with some earthy bitterness, more toffee, sugary fruits. Full bodied with average to lively carbonation. Sweet, warm finish with berries, grapes, bread, earth, toasty toffee. Not bad. Pretty tasty.

Bottle thanks tomColin. It pours deep mahogany brown with a decent light tan head. The nose is sweet, dark fruits, fruit cake, candy, wood, earth, must and dirt. The taste is toasty, earth, wood, dried fruits, mild acidity, alcohol, berry and candy with a dry finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Not to bad at all.

Pours very dark brown with a small head.Nose shows burnt figs, rich caramelised bready malt, brown sugar, toasty melanoidin malt. Very rich.Equally rich flavours, with toasty and bready melanoidin malt, golden syrup and some burnt, almost roasty, dark sugary fruit. Also some subtle booze.Nice creamy carbonation works perfectly.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a modest but fine beige head that laces well. Aroma of leather, prunes, raisins, figs, licorice, chocolate. Rich, sweet and boozy with dried fruit, dark caramel, only a little chocolate, licorice/ anise. Dries out a little at the end, more than enough to avoid being cloying. Slightly syrupy with enough carbonation to lighten it. Good.
