Pelicon Old Ale is a time capsule of the year 2017. The beer matured in bourbon and rum barrels for twelve months and was cold conditioned for another six months.

Bottle, 0.75l, shared with Leo & Dasa. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt, wood, dark fruit and honey. Pours cloudy amber brown color with thin soapy off-white head and soft visible carbonation. Tastes of sweet caramel, wood, vanilla, bourbon and honey with smooth and warm mouthfeel. Full body, syrupy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Excellent piece of our time...

Less rum character that in 2018 version,also more delicate on aroma,bit vinous,soft tart hints,malt sweetness,vanilla,bit thiner on MF

On tap at Pivomanija, Ajdovščina. Pours hazy glowing amber coloured, topped with medium sized beige head, creamy and slowly settling. Gentle vinous soury nose, some old wine cellar character in there. Moderate bitterness, moderate sweetness with quite some honey character. Warmng alcohol but not burning. Slightly soury in the finish, but very gently. Not my style, but definitely nicely drinkable.
