BB 04/04/2020, Lot 19012, 330ml Steinie bottle
APPEARANCE: gusher, loss of 50ml beer; deep brown, cola like color, beige stable fluffy head, visible carbonation in the middle, floating sediment, great lacing
AROMA: moderate sweetness of caramel candy, brown sugar, toffee, toasted bread, sweet bread crust, cocoa powder, hints of bitter chocolate underneath, very mild nutty notes - peanuts, peanut skin, hints of earth and perfume, no yeast dirtiness, very gentle and appropriate alcohol note;
TASTE: lively carbonation, loads of fluffy bubbles, soft acidic bite on the edges, medium light to medium body, moderate slick and fluffy/creamy mouthfeel; moderate sweet onset, actually on lighter side, notes of caramel, butterscotch, brown sugar and slightly more toasted bread and bread crust, mild burnt sugar; very soft red wine like tartness (doesn't feel infected), very mild plum brandy like and spicy alcohol on the edges but otherwise nicely hidden; no obvious or at least noticeable dried fruits; nearly no bitterness, subtle hints of ground ginger and cocoa powder
OVERALL: despite gushing no other off flavors or major flaws; well dosed sweetness helps with drinkability; almost crushable for 9.4% abv; lacks a bit in complexity but otherwise decent style attempt

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit, alcohol and yeast. Pours cloudy dark brown color with thin quickly diminishing tan-like head. Taste starts with sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is yeasty, fruity, medicinal and alcoholic, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, quite thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Some aging would make it better...

Pours pitch black, topped with medium sized and medium lasting beige head. Yeasty aroma with lots of spices, somewhere in the back some chocolate notes. Taste follows with milder sweetness in teh start, medium bitterness and slightly soury fruity touch to it (orange peel?), finishing with strong yeastiness. Medium body, alsohol nicely hidden, just a hint of warmth, but too yeasty strong for me.
