On tap at Lajbah, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa and medium toasted malt. Flavour is medium toasty, with some dry cocoa and toasted malt. Nicely structured, yet unspectacular. Solid.

No foam to speak of but a very black body just like the ladies like them. Aroma of sweet oatmeal and a bit of roasted barley but nothing significant peaking through. Flavour is a soft and sweet affair of watered down syrup with a hint of bad Easter chocolate thrown in (you know, the kind of bargain chocolate at the dollar store that your great aunt insists on getting you each year around this time). Sugarwater finish. This stuff missing the mark on many levels.

As Lobik chocolate stout, bottle at Sir Williams Pub, Ljubljana. Pours black, beige head. Light roastiness, chocolate, lactic, lots of cocoa, light to medium bodied. Sweetish. Quite empty for abv, expected more of...well everything.

Bottle, 0.30l. Hazy deep brown color with large frothy light brown head, yeast residue and sparkling appearance. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, yeast, honey and mild dried fruit. Taste starts with moderate sweet roasted malt and coffee, follows by bitter chocolate and a bit yeasty, mouthfeel is smooth and slightly warming, but still with well hidden alcohol, while finish is mild grassy bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Was bit worried when I opened it, because it was a slight gusher. After calming down and warming up all fears were gone. Nice brew, would prefer even more sweetness...

0.33 l bottle at Williamโ€™s Pub, Ljubljana. Shared with lovely Anja. Hazy dark brown, small but lasting beige head. Coffee, chocolate, caramel, some fruits. Sweet, light roasty sourness. Soft texture and carbonation, medium body, light dry finish, roasty, ash. Bold move, very aromatic, well done.

Pours pitch black, topped with a smaller beige head, not really lasting. Pleasant combination of dark chocolate and gently roasted coffee that gets strong as it warms. Some yoghurt notes (thanks to spelt), vanlla and some alcohol notes. Medium full, silky smooth with just the right amount of sweetness of chocolate that gets more dark and bittery later on, as well as some coffee character. Warming feel of bourbon, not too strong. Nice one.
