A dessert beer to the core, our Raspberry Stout is truly a feat in decadence. Loads of chocolate malt, cocoa nibs and local, late season red raspberries from Agriberry Farm all contribute to what would best be described as a raspberry truffle in liquid form. We then take this beer on another journey through months of maturation in freshly emptied bourbon barrels and finish it on Madagascar Vanilla Beans. The resulting flavor is a smooth, rich dark chocolate, ripe red raspberry and delicate notes of vanilla and bourbon.

Raspberry, charred oak, bourbon, nougat aroma. Mahogany, medium beige head. Raspberry and charred oak, bourbon accents. Full body, easy carbonation. Very nicely done and I don't even like fruited stouts.

Dark pour. Raspberry nose. Thick brown foam. Sweet coffee and raspberry flavor with a coffee finish. Easy carbonation.

Get the vanilla and raspberry, but the bourbon takes a while to come on. It’s alright. But one is enough.

750ml bottle from Tavour. Near black pour, small beige head fades to ring. Boozy aroma, sweet, chocolate. Booziness fades in the taste allowing more of the raspberry notes to surface. Roast malts and chocolate round it out. A little warmth at the end. Pairing it up with some fresh raspberries from my neighbor. Nice!

Bottle sample @ RBBWG Mar 10h. 2018, thanks Benzai. Brune voire noire foncée, col fin blanc-cassé. Arôme au bouquet somptueux de framboise et chocolat, pointe de café avec un excellent alliage entre les malts et le fruité, le Bourbon sublime le tout avec de fines effluves de boisé, la vanille reste plus en retrait. Palais est malté sans être trop épais, chocolaté se prêtant très bien au caractère de framboise, touche douceur vanillée de la barrique et de l'ajout de gousse, petite note de café revient sur la fin.

Thank you Benzai! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG VI (2018). Black, little head. Nose is raspberry jam, cookie filling, bit too roasted, herbal chocolate. Taste is cheap cacao, mocha, raspberry cookie filling, mocha, milk chocolate, rather roasted. Jammy & roasted body. Bit crude but tasty for sure.
