Bourbon Barrel Raspberry Stout with Vanilla Beans

A dessert beer to the core, our Raspberry Stout is truly a feat in decadence. Loads of chocolate malt, cocoa nibs and local, late season red raspberries from Agriberry Farm all contribute to what would best be described as a raspberry truffle in liquid form. We then take this beer on another journey through months of maturation in freshly emptied bourbon barrels and finish it on Madagascar Vanilla Beans. The resulting flavor is a smooth, rich dark chocolate, ripe red raspberry and delicate notes of vanilla and bourbon.

750 ml bottle. Raspberry, chocolate, and vanilla. Lots of sweet malts. A bit of roast. Very smooth, soft carbonation. Doesn't get cloying at all. Works rather well.

Rating #2000. $14.99 bomber from Wine Warehouse. Picked this one up specifically for #2000. Pours black with a large brown head, frothy and soft. Holy aroma of sweet raspberry jam, chocolates, vanilla. Honestly, if you love raspberries the aroma is absolutely perfect. Flavor is heavy sweet raspberry on top of dark chocolates and vanilla. Booze is in there as well, and where it’s definitely not hidden, it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. Well worth picking this beast up for #2000.

From a 750ml bottle. Poured a pitch black color with a long lasting, tan head. Aroma is a blast of raspberry, chocolate notes, with a bunch of vanilla. Flavor was raspberry, lots of milk chocolate, bourbon is here. Vanilla finish here. Very creamy - lots of tart berry, creamy chocolate milkshake character here. Amazing.
