Believe it or not, Arron is big on Mediterranean culture; and when we were looking for a name for our newest Augment beer, he suggested a reference to the Morphou region of Cyprus, famed for its citrus fruits, of which our beers pack the flavour profiles to the nines with.
We noticed looking at a map of the region, a little village called Kyra jumped out at us, and a name was born.
We delved a little deeper, and discovered a meaning of the name literally translating from the Ancient Egyptian “like Ra” or “Beam of Light”. This beer completely fits its translation; pure sunshine trapped in a glass to remind you of dear, departed summer.

Can from Tidens Farver @ Home. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of light malt, oat, fruity hops, grass, citrus. Flavor is quite bitter, little malt, grassy hops, onions, light fruity hops. Medium body, average carbonation, dry and lasting bitter finish. Something got aabit wrong here.101023

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Murky yellow. Oniony fruity hops, sweetish, green bitterness.

Wat zoet tropisch fruit, redelijk bitter, maar wel met een meelachtige moutheid. Wat droog, niet heel romig.

440ml can, kindly shared by Finn. Remaining white head leaving upper part lacing on the glass, unclear golden body. Fresh fruity smell of pineapple and citrus. Blended hop fruity flavours of citrus and canned fruits. Piney support to a dry bitter fruity finish. Rounded mouthfeel. Likable. (Rating session at Finn's with lmojoh, djoeye and Finn, Tromsø 16.05.2020).

Delt med djoeye, lmojoh og Rune på Nerstranda. Gusjegrågul. Lavt tett skum. Uklar. Lett klementinaroma. Smaken balansert. Tørket tropisk frukt. Tørr avslutning.
