Naturally sweet and tart Blackcurrants give a great depth to the soured base, the addition of Sumac lifts the beer with its touch of salinity and citrus.

Can from EU swap 1/2019. Thanks Minutemat! Loads of blackcurrant present all over the place, very fresh feeling. Not sure about sumac. Moderate sourness, lightly tart as well. Thin body, med-high carbonation. Easy drinking, a bit mouth-puckering, but not overly so. The character is rather simple, centered on the currant, but tasty enough. Very good.

Can at the Brewklopedia bar, 2019 Leicester Beer Festival. Magenta, clear with a small foamy puce head. Light fruity aroma with light notes of sunflower seed and caraway. Very, very tart while allowing the blackcurrant to shine through. Mouth-puckering berry finish. Medium carbonation. Special.

330ml can from Chez Sophie, chugged while reading the paper. Pours pinkish Ribena purple, small persistent off-white ring atop. Aroma is blackcurrant, tart fruity red berries. Taste is tart, lactic, good bruised berry bluster, rounded off with a pleasant tang, some lemon notes. Nice fruit sour.

Can, courtesy of MiP & Yespr. Pours slightly hazy berry red with small off-pinkish head. Mild aroma of berries. Vinous flavour of berries, with notes of yeast and bitter, hoppy touches. Dry aftertaste with bitter and estery touches. Okay.
