500ml bottle, batch #105, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Two-finger thick espresso head slowly reduced to a remaining layer leaving crocheted lacing behind. Coal black body. Vanilla oak on the nose supported by dark malt added by a bourbon touch. Dark fruit, anise, and dark, earthy chocolate to the flavour character, backdrop of vanilla sweetness and bourbon, not overdone. Prolonged finish. Full bodied and velvety in the mouth. Enjoyed from a tulip glass. Good drinking (Tromsø 05.09.2015).

On tap at Grünerløkka mat- of mikrobryggfestival. Close to used motor oil black with a somewhat modest, beige head. Roasty aroma with dark chocolate, hints of coffee, vanilla and dark fruits. Smooth, balanced and easy to drink. Tasty stuff, but don’t get to much of the bourbon except for some vanilla notes. Anyway a quite delicious IS. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fatlagra Bourbon Stout on 29 Aug 2015 at 16:48 - Score: 7
