Not your traditional Danish Xmas ale but a crisp, dry and bitter west coast IPA with a bit orange peel to give that warm and cozy holiday spirit. Hops are Tomahawk, Simcoe and Centennial; unfiltered and unpasteurized.

Draft. Dark golden with a lasting white head. Hoppy aroma of peach and pine, and juicy sweet oranges. Dry and bitter with pine and orange flavour. Somewhat rough high-alpha hop bitterness, and a beautiful lasting fresh hop aftertaste. 2009 edition, bottled. More orange peel character than I remembered from last year. Just as tasty as I remember

Bottle at Craig’s bit tasting, Edinburgh, 21-03-09 thanks to Craig for hosting and also big thanks to Henrikb for passing this beer on Pours warm gold slight haziness in fact the colour is edging towards a distinct orangeyness, with a white head. Aroma is full on hoppy, big pine aroma’s and also some sweetness detected. Taste is streaky hops, quite bitter but the bitterness is balanced out by some syrup, some light tangerine touches. A very nice beer. A9 A3 F7 P3 OV14 3.6

Bottle. Look: Hazy orange. Smell: Fruit and cookies! Grapefruit, apricots, and (of course) orange. Taste: Sweet. Orange, some hop bitterness in finish, but the aftertaste is still very much fruity (orange). Overall: Nice and special IPA brew.

My 800th Danish rating. 50cl bottle @ VinensVerden, Odense. Thanks to Madsnp. Pours cloudy orange with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is strongly hoppy of pine, grapefruit and citrus. Medium bodied. Dry and crisp. Christmas beer? Who gives a fuck really? This is just lovely!

bottle, 50cl pours a slightly cloudy orange, thick offwhite head. aroma is very strong and is of pine, hops, orange, aroma is fresh and spicy. flavor is very hoppy, pine, grapefruit, something sweet, orange. overall quite a potent IPA with the small orange twist. rerated 2009-3-01 this time the orange is not as strong which makes an even better IPA a little extra time in the bottle have done wonders. darn it’s good.
