A 12% imperial stout. Unlike its namesake, you’ll want to invite this one in.
We've only gone and brewed up Death.
An imperial stout at an almighty 12%. Well balanced with rich, decadent chocolate reigning supreme. Blackcurrant and berry notes in the aroma with a touch of plum lingering in the background. It's the stout you need in your life, unlike it's namesake, you'll want to invite this one in.

(Can, 0.44 l - BBE 01/2020, at Pikkulintu, 20181020) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, sweet soy sauce and dark chocolate. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, dark chocolate, alcohol and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A bit too boozy and sweet imperial stout.

19/7/2018. Draught at Bierrex, Newcastle. Pours black with a tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, alcohol, dark fruits, carob, berries, roasted malt, wood and black treacle. Towards heavy sweetness, moderate bitterness. Full body, slick texture, average to soft carbonation. Third was definitely enough - but very good third though.

Can, from the brewery, a while ago. Pours clear, dark, mahogany brown. Sits in the glass nearly black. Slim halo of beige. Nose has wood ash. Dried fruit. Old Jamaica chocolate. Some tobacco leaf notes. Taste has a sugary sweetness, and a light, woody, vine fruit bitterness. Fairly thin and watery on the palate, and then dries out considerably. Foamy carbonation doesn’t sit right. Bitter and thin finish. Doesn’t come together at all well.

Sampled from can @ RBBWG 2018, hosted by Beerlovers Bar, Antwerp. Opaque dark brown to back color, decent sized tan head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, dusty earthy notes. Taste malts, dusty and earthy notes again, malt bitter, bitter, brown malts. Hmm decent, but pretty one sided. Don't get anything much different than various malt flavors.
