No Seriously Dave Really Loves Real Ale

Cask at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour a bubbly round off white head. The aroma is malt, yeasty, gluey, plum. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, big yeast, light tart red berry fruit palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Somewhat poor and not what a classic English bitter is all about. It lacked real bitterness for a start, had no backbone and no real malt or hop character. Things can only get better.
