Jet black with a decent beige head. Roast and toast with some chocolate. Decent.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown colour, near black, with beige head. Aroma of dusty malt, stale, pond water. Soft mouthfeel and mild roasted malts; it doesn't seem to be dry and roasty like a true Dunkel, with little caramel in the final.
Not much character, just a dirty dark lager.

Smells softly of dark dry coffee. Has good dark brown body and modest beige foam on top. Flavour is a mix of vegetable and sweet caramel, not really working well together. Ends up becoming more balanced further in but the black and the pilsner are struggling to make music. Mouthfeel is full enough. It's not bad but this seems hard to get right and it isn't gotten right here.

On tap at Taylight, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a medium tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, with light roasted coffee notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt, light coffee and cereal notes. I don't really see how this qualifies as a pilsner, but okay. Solid stuff.
