Ale with Cacao Nibs, Vanilla, Coffee and Lactose Added
Here's a pick me up for the latest verse in our Twelve Days of Christmas series. Inspired by flavors and ingredients found in tiramisu, including ladyfingers, 9 Ladies Dancing mimics the Italian dessert by whipping together flavor combinations and layers of its own. This includes notes of vanilla, chocolate and coffee - clearly the leading ladies in this rich, dessert-like beer.

Sweet, boozy, malty, some roasty coffee. A bit bitter. Not bad.

THT October. Thanks RandomStrangerNL! Clear brown with offwhite head. Sweet roasted malts, green coffee berry, chocolate, nutty, chipolata. Moderate sweet and bitter, light sour. Over medium body & soft carbonation. Tastes not working very well together.

Tap at Gambrinus. Pours a murky, deep molasses colored brown with a finger of beige head that dissipates quickly. Fresh ground espresso, roasted molasses and clove on the nose. Chewy brownies, more espresso and black forest cake notes. Cacao nib. Very chewy and rich. A great dessert beer. Hides the abv well too.
