Inspired by flavors and ingredients found in tiramisu, including ladyfingers, 9 Ladies Dancing mimics the Italian dessert by whipping together flavor combinations and layers of its own. This includes notes of vanilla, chocolate and coffee - clearly the leading ladies in this rich ale.

12.7 oz bottle acquired out of the collection direct from The Bruery. This one I have been looking forward to, lots of interesting and curious adjuncts. My New Belgium globe glass awaits. The pour is a dark caramel finished by a healthy head of parchment foam. I get a nose of ripe fruit and chocolate, again interesting. The taste covers a lot of bases, let me go through them. Chocolate, a hint of coffee, berries, plums, oak, malt and a small sourish background. Decent enough, I enjoy a good quad, but a distance from my best.

8th November 2024 Almost clear amber brown beer, small pale tan head. Pretty light and semi dry palate, good fine carbonation. Salted caramel mellow coffee and thin malt cream. Good tangy fruity bourbon. Mild vanilla. Trace of oxidised caramel. Light and semi dry finish. Simple stuff but pretty tasty and has lasted very well.

Growler shared at CBJ - cheers to Kenny. Pours clear ruby with a small, creamy off-white head. Medium sweet flavour with notes of toasted grains, caramel, a few tangy berries. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with light warmth, tangy berries, toasted caramel. So so.

75 cl bottle, Bottled 2016 acc. to well hidden stamp etched into bottle. Tasted feb. 2024 super solid aroma somewhere betweeen a brown ale and a quad, deep malty boozy nutty with a bit of dried dark fruits, a little bit of dough as if it was a pastry stout, also some yeasty notes. Flavor is a bit the same, brown alei'sh with some faint dark dried fruity notes, yeasty notes (belgian) , some undefined sweetness, very mellow and well blended, could be the aging kicking in, a good belgian sipper, however, some of the flavors are a bit too pastry like to make it a real belgian quad, where more of the flavors are from yeast and malts and the fermentation. Pretty good, hours of entertainment and enjoyment and adventure in this 75cl bottle, pair with cheese or just enjoy it as it is.

Sweet, boozy, malty, some roasty coffee. A bit bitter. Not bad.

750mL bottle, pours a clear medium brown with a small beige head. Aroma is full of lactose — why would you put this in a Belgian strong? — with subdued earthy coffee and estery notes. Flavour is chaotic and messy, with coffee, lactose, sour fruits, and earthiness. Absolute mess.
