The second rendition in our refreshment seeking Lemonade IPA series with Evil Twin. A refreshing drink often associated with childhood nostalgia to others a pop-cultural symbol of emancipation.
Whatever the association we teamed up with good old Swedes, Henok and Karl of the fashionable Omnipollo to squeeze out a tasty, tempting and deceivingly well balanced IPA with sweet and sour notes of old-fashioned memories. Perhaps you can taste the dishonesty, it’s all over your breath - it’s Lemonade.

12 oz can poured, purchased at Hop and Hound. A reddish tinted, golden orange pour. A fruit forward aroma, citrus dominant, and a little on the tart side. Flavor is a precise pink lemonade flavor, so I suppose they nailed what they were going for. Would never consider this an IPA in a blind. So much juicy lemon flavor. Fun beer, and one of a kind.

Can. Really strange IPA. Super fruity, really grainy and also super sweet. The bitterness from the hops and the tartness from the raspeberries dont mix very well. There are also strange notes of chewing gum... A bad novelty beer.

Can from Systembolaget in Stockholm. Pours orange with some reddish notes. Just a bit of foam. Nose is fruity and soft, raspberries quite strong. Creamy and a bit lactic. Taste is also soft and fruity, some NE character with fruits, raspberry is strong, bit of citrus there and hop dust. Really drinkable and satisfying, unique and surprising. Could drink a lot of this.

Can @ home. Slightly hazy yellow to orange with a large white head that deminishes quickly. Smells and tastes lemon, hops, zesty, zingy, fruity, fresh. Refreshing stuff. Thin to medium body, a bit heavy on the carbo.

Can 35,5 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque orangey golden with a white head. Surprisingly yeasty, chalky aroma atop some subte citrusy notes. Medium body, fruity, tart in a not so pleasant way, lemony - yet with an underlying sweetness. Lightly hoppy finish. These lemonade IPA's seem like a fun idea, but in reality.....sorry, not a fan. Tart, sweet and hoppy is simply more than my tastebuds can cope with. 231017

(330ml can from Systembolaget) Pours a hazy deep orange with a slight pink tinge, and a good-sized white head fading to a ring without lace. Aroma of tart pink grapefruit, lemon, light berry/fruit notes, some sweet sugary malt for balance. Flavour is definitely pink lemonade, notes of pink grapefruit, lemon, raspberry, slightly tart but not sour, bitter citrus peels, touch malty/biscuity, some sugar, grass. Finishes semi-dry with lingering sweet-tart notes.Medium bodied, slick, carb is soft though a little soda pop prickling. Yep, this is a lot like pink lemonade! It's stretching to the limit of beer, I guess, but at least it's fun and tasty. Quite easy to drink.
