The second rendition in our refreshment seeking Lemonade IPA series with Evil Twin. A refreshing drink often associated with childhood nostalgia to others a pop-cultural symbol of emancipation.

Whatever the association we teamed up with good old Swedes, Henok and Karl of the fashionable Omnipollo to squeeze out a tasty, tempting and deceivingly well balanced IPA with sweet and sour notes of old-fashioned memories. Perhaps you can taste the dishonesty, it’s all over your breath - it’s Lemonade.

Can from the Star and Garter, Bromley. Hazy orange pour with a quickly receding white head. Nose of apricot jam, lemon juice, pink grapefruit, mango, nectarine. Flavours of pink grapefruit, lemon sherbet, lime. Sharp citrus bite. Wouldn't be out of place on the breakfast table. Very tasty.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy pinkish golden/orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemonade, lime, raspberry, grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit, papaya, mango, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of lemonade, raspberry, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemonade, lime, raspberry, grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit, papaya, mango, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemonade, lime, raspberry, grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit, papaya, mango, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of of lemonade, raspberry, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop/fruit flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness/tartness. medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly acidic/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited IPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of of lemonade, raspberry, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the modestly tart/bitter/drying finish. Awesome vibrant hop complexity with perfectly balanced lemonade flavors; and nice malt backing, without being sweet. A highly enjoyable offering.

Can from Brewcraft at home. Very hazy-opaque pinkish-peachish pour with minimal thin frog eye head. Aroma is really nice - mainly sour citric pith, some juicy hops. Not super reminiscent of pink lemonade but you get the idea. Taste is smooth juicy sourness. Light palate with sour bitterness is more pink lemonade than the specific flavors I think. Quite good. Would try again.

Can thanks to Leo. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong citrus and pine. Medium body, juicy, tart lemon, light acidity, crushable and refreshing, very good.

Milks and Hops: taste is pinkish orange with a white head. Aroma is lemons and light raspberry and hops. Taste is pretty sweet. Kind of earthy. Loads of lemon. Mere hints of raspberry. Not my thing.

12 oz. can, pours an opaque cloudy pinkish peach with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh raspberries, some lemon and lactose. Flavour is along the same lines, with plenty of raspberry sweetness and pithiness, followed by lactose and light citrus. Unusual milkshake-like IPA. Solid.

Can from Gambrinus. Pours a raspberry color with a small finger of of white head that lingers. Huge ruby red grapefruit nose with light lemon notes and some dank hops. Light raspberry and more ruby red notes. Awesome tart, hoppy finish. This is a winner. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pink Lemonade IPA on 23 Jun 2017 at 20:24 - Score: 8.
