Landlord Dark originates from the multi award-winning Landlord Pale Ale but brewed with caramelised sugars to give a rich yet light and drinkable dark ale.
This perfectly balanced mellow dark beer has body and depth. It has a fruity, toasted aroma with hints of chocolate, citrus and roasted malts on the tongue. A darker shade of pale!
Malt: Golden Promise, Crystal Malt, Brown Malt, Black Malt
Whole Leaf Hops: WGV/Goldings, Fuggles, Savinjski Goldings
Yeast: Taylor's Taste Strain

0,5l bottle @ One Pint Pub. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is dry roasted malts with some coffee. Flavor is dry roasted malts with some coffee, hops. Decent.

(Cask, gravity, at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, 20231227) The beer poured black. Its head small and white. Aroma had earth, toasted malts and mildly caramel. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were earth, toasted malts, toffee, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was earth, burnt malts and bitterness. A tasty and balanced brew with burnt notes.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Near black, small head. Aroma of urnt toast and hay. Dry with light body and crisp mouthfeel. Burnt bread, leafs and hay. Mid bitter finish. Quaffable and pleasant.

Taster from Dantomlinson - Cheers! 🍻. Creamy tan head left a spotty cover on a rich mahogany coloured still body. Malt & oat aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the palate with a tingle on the back. Malt, roasted, coal, bitter & berry tastes with lovely tangy finish. Nice - I'd like to try this on Cask.

Cask at London Craft Beer Festival 2023. Black with a pretty off-white head. Rich caramel malt nise, chocolate, spicy hops in the background. Rich. Malty flavor, caramel, not roasty at all, nice spicy hops similar to Landlord. Unique and tasty.
