Landlord Dark originates from the multi award-winning Landlord Pale Ale but brewed with caramelised sugars to give a rich yet light and drinkable dark ale.
This perfectly balanced mellow dark beer has body and depth. It has a fruity, toasted aroma with hints of chocolate, citrus and roasted malts on the tongue. A darker shade of pale!
Malt: Golden Promise, Crystal Malt, Brown Malt, Black Malt
Whole Leaf Hops: WGV/Goldings, Fuggles, Savinjski Goldings

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Black body with ruby highlights and a beige head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of Marmite and coffee grounds. Flavour of blackcurrant, earth and liquorice. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Subtle and well balanced. Iโd like to try this on cask.

Bottle from Ocado. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Nose is liquorice toffee, raisin, grapefruit, dark berries. Taste is liquorice toffee, dates, dark berries, light hit of bitter citrus. Mouth coating malty hoppy bitterness.

500ml bottle at home. Pours dark brown, almost cola-like pour with a large off white head. Dark fruit, caramel or toffee, some brown bread notes in the aroma. Flavour is dominated by the caramel or toffee notes but has some brown bread and dark fruit character as well. Easy drinker
