12 ounce can from Tavour. Opaque dark brown pour. Brief tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma hints at bourbon and oak. Added notes of caramel and Tia Maria. Flavor is bittersweet malt, caramel, oak, whiskey, coffee, brown sugar and absinthe. A bit of woodiness as well. Smooth, sticky and super.

12 oz. can. Pours black, with a big, foamy, tan head. The nose is cognac, cherry wood, cloves, cola, caramel, and black bread. Sweet and malty, with a mellow, earthy bitterness. Heavy, grainy, and boozy. Aggressive and interesting.

Can - clear dark amber - faint lace - nose is mostly bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit - creamy texture - quite sweet and sugary - plums, caramelized sugars, toffee, treacle - there is a slight earthy maltiness, but not getting the peaty, smoky notes of a scotch ale at all - finish is crazy hot and boozy - a blunt instrument that is not terribly complex.

12oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, muddy, small bubbly head . Boozy aroma, bourbon, chocolate. Not getting many scotch ale notes due to the bourbon. Thick, heavy

Tap at Orange and Brew. Deep brown Scotch Ale color, thicker later of brown than on might find in a barrel beer. Sweet malt nose with bourbon and some cherry. Taste is quick thick, with malts best matched to a bourbon malt bill. Warm, sweet bourbon with no roast, of course. Can't quite pick up any claimed smoke, but that may just be a snap portion of prayed malt and however long this has say in a barrel. Simply delightful and intoxicating.
FLN, boozy caramel raisin chocolate sweetness with a hint of tobacco, so dang good.

Can. Pours hazy mahogany, medium beige head, good lacing. Aroma is rich woody bourbon, dark sugars, dates, vanilla, hint of cherry and almond. Flavor is medium plus sweet, quite bitter, rich integrated dark sugary bourbon. Full body, silky. Too many IBU for a scotch ale, but very good nontheless.
