Blurring the line between coffee and beer, our Coffee Porter treats the taste buds to a decadent romp in chocolate-covered espresso beans. Through careful selection and much experimentation, we synched up with local coffee roasters to create this exceptional brew.

Sampled from bottle shared @ ZZT 2017. Opaque black color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, coffee, soft roast, light chocolate, moderately bitter. Quite nice.

Bottle shared at ZZT. Very dark brown with big beige head. Massive coffee, hazelnuts, light caramel, more sweet coffee beans, light cocoa, soft minerals. Under medium sweet and bitter. Under medium bodied. Lots of great coffee, really nice.

Bottle from Marcus. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate espresso. Strong. Med + body. Flavor is strong espresso with a deal of chocolate. Earthy chocolate. Or something like that. Really powerful flavors. Of the good kind. This beer could be for breakfast. Fooh on Founder’s Oatmeal Breakfast concept. This would work way better on porridge.

A deep dark porter with a very thin brown head. In aroma, nutty chocolate malt with light coffee notes, light caramel, OK. In mouth, a rather interesting mix, coffee grind, musty character, light vegetable salts, solvent notes, strange and unpleasant. On tap at brewery.
