To brew this beer we were inspired by the shorter days, colder nights and firewood smoke. This beer is all about autumn. It’s base is a robust porter but in addition to that we smoked our base malts on alder wood in our own smoker. We would not stop until the malts were full of smokey phenols. This way the smokiness dominates on the nose of this brew.

500 ml. draft @ Alaus Biblioteka. Dark amber brown, little head. Nose is smoked tea, caramel sugar. Bit too sweet in taste, basic sugar, cereal caramel but still smoked tea, if only even more smoked, touch less sweet but good all the same.
