One of our first beers, and one which set the tone of our approach to brewing. Classic in style and very drinkable, with Belgian yeast character, light body and a lingering bitterness.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 12 Sep 2014) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, spicy nose with grainy malt, canned fruit and hay. Malty, spicy taste with notes of canned peaches, a touch of sage, grass and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite weird and a bit too sweet for a saison. Still quite nice. (6/3/7/3/13=3.2) Rerate: (Bottle, 2 Nov 2023) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, spicy nose with white bread, apricots, clove, banana, citrus and dough. Malty, spicy taste with notes of white bread, grain, apricots, clove, honey, hay, citrus, banana and a gentle herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry. Refreshing and tasty, but a bit doughy. Quite enjoyable.

Herbal, floral, grainy, light rubbery phenolic, yeasty taste. Light phenolic, grainy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, sort of low CO2, low bitterness.7/2/7/3/13=3.2

330ml Bottle (Shared by Omhper when we were at Akkurat) - Golden with a slight haze. Banana, apples and coriander in the aroma. Sweet and syrupy taste with notes of phenols, banana and apples.

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, mid sized head. Mashed banana dominate the nose. Sticky sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Bread, mashed banana and hay. Light resinous bitterness. Unrefined.
