Bottle shared at Castlegate. It pours lightly hazy orangey white head. The aroma is musty, funky, zingy, damp wood, barnyard, old dirty orange, tangerine, lactic, barnyard, granny smith apple and bircher museli. The taste is crisp, dry, creamy, lactic, musty, funk, apricot, peachy, barnyard, floral, zingy, minerals, earth, floury bread, wet grass and spice with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Fresh, funky and zingy. Decent.

Pours unclear blonde, medium white head. Smell is funky, brett, wood, mild tartness, bit fruity. Taste is subtile, mild lactic acid, brett, barrel. OK, a bit one-dimentional on the brett to me.

'Versnijbier' of a witbier (that I have never encountered anywhere) and Lindemans lambic, 75 cl bottle with cork from Bierhalle Deconinck. Egg-white, irregularly edged, bubbly, loosely knit but still mousy head on a misty straw blonde beer with pale greenish tinge, turning more 'milky' and beige-tinged with sediment. Aroma clearly reveals clean and noble Lindemans lambic with a less strong presence of the witbier: crushed green gooseberries, lemon peel, unripe green plums, sourdough, green apple, dusty earth, hay, stewed rhubarb, banana, apricot, grass. Crisp, fruity onset, quite fizzy carbonation as in a geuze but somewhat less 'enthusiastically' so, softly sour, green apple, light lemon, gooseberry but also sweeter banana and peach aspects probably from that 'Toots', white bready and cereally malt body, supple, dried by ongoing soft and crisp fruity sourness; hayish touch, grass silage, light wheaty soapiness and a bit of lambic funkiness but in a subdued way. Lingering fruity aspects, light and cleanly earthy, late hop bitter touch. Quite lambic-forward 'coupagebier', easily drinkable and refreshing, but it is hard not to compare with actual lambic this way (especially Lindemans Cuvée René) and in doing so, one could wonder what is the point of this 'dilution' - the witbier does not seem to do much more than to soften an otherwise perfectly fine and crisp lambic. Would surely drink again, though.

Bottle from Mattias. Thanks! Hazy golden colour, white foam. Citrussy, notes of peach, brett. Light tart, refreshing and a nice lambic hint. Good!

Clear gold blond beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: funky, a little dirty, some sulphur, a little fruity, malty touch, some septic tank but this might be the brewery. The whole place smells like sewers. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: refreshingly light, spritzy, ginger touch, some tangerines, ok. Aftertaste: clean acidity, a bit lemony, dry, spicy, a hint of tannins.

Clear pale blond to yellow beer, small creamy white head, high viscosity on pouring, looks like it's probably way too young and still infected with pediococcus? Aroma: very floral, almonds, soapy, fruity notes, pears, bit sweeter, nice. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sourish, citrus, yeasty, fruity notes, little bitter, some grapefruit, nice acidity. Aftertaste: more citrus, bitter, floral, bit soapy, more acidity, bit too young, lemon juice, lemon peel. This beer would profit highly from another year or two in the bottle. Don't drink yet, age it a little!
