Erstmal Danke an Florian vom Bier-Index, der sich mit mir in Berlin zu einem BIertausch getroffen hat und mir dieses Bier gebracht hat. Das Bier ist eine angenehme Mischung aus klassischen Hellen und modern- hopfigen Lager. Dabei erfreut es mit fruchtigen Aromen à la Ananas, Mango und Maracuja -eine nette Interpretation des Hellesn, die mir bisher unbekannt war. Das Logo des Bieres mit dem polnischen ł hat aber nichts mit dem östlichen Nachbarn zu tun. Man bezieht man sich auf den altslawischen Namen Berlins.

(Keg at Bryggeri Helsinki, 20181023) The beer poured golden and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, fruitiness and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, fruitiness, sweetness, grain, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy and bitter. A nice balanced helles.

Draft in the brewery biergarten on Saturday 4th Aug 2018. Golden/amber body, light haze; weak white head. Floral/grassy aroma with a mild citrus leaning, taste similar, floral notes with a light citrus feel, malty base comes through also, giving a bit of sweetness; all very subtle and delicate.

On tap at BRNO, Berlin. Golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of grain, malt and some light citrus. The bitterness was low. On the thin side.

Minimal beige head on a golden body. No aroma. Medium to thin bodied . Flora, yeast & faint citrus tastes. Tastes like cheap Euro lager

Bottle. Clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma of grains, floral hops and a hint of lemons. Taste is grainy, malty, slightly fruity and spicy. Medium carbonation. Very low bitterness. Thin mouthfeel. Ok and refreshing. Glad I got this as a gift for I can't see myself ever buying this one as there are so many better and truly satisfying Helles available for a third of it's price.

Tap at 100 piv. Rather clean, maybe even too much so. Medium-thin body, low carbonation. Light basementy yeastiness and nothing much else going on. Drinkable, thirst quenching, uneventful. Only a faint hint of grassy hops in the finosh.
