Bottle: Slightly hazy, dark yellow-amber with a lot of particulates....minimal off-white head. Light pine resin, caramel scent. Taste is fairly resiny, woody...a little orange malt, caramel malt....orients itself more towards the pine than citrus.....pretty good.

Pours hazy gold into a Sam glass. White conglomerate head with medium retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Sourdough and tropical fruit aromas. Medium bodied with dark caramel and meaty resin upfront turning to a dry, lasting sour resin finish.

This was poured into a nonic.
The appearance was a one finger white foamy head sitting atop of a slight transparent and slightly bronzed colored body. Messy lacing rolled around the glass.
The smell had some bitter citrus rind.
The taste was only bitter, lacking the sweeter side of things I was hoping for in other session IPA’s. There was a dry bitter aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with not much of a sessionable aspect to it since I’m finding it to be pretty bitter and dry on my tongue.
Overall, there’s other session IPA’s I’d rather have, most likely only come back to this if I knew I could find fresher.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass best before 8/3/2015. Pours fairly cloudy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, mango, melon, papaya, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/piney hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderate resinous/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very good session IPA. All around good robustness and balance of citrus/piney hops and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. The aromas were much more bright, tropical, and complex than the flavors; but it was still a nicely enjoyable offering.

$2 bottle from vintage. Perhaps a little fresh rubber on the fruity ipa aroma. Decent co2 at first. Taste is a little astringent in its ipa attempt. Lots of things floating around in thar. Wew, getting more astringent. Just a tad viscous on the palate. Yes, typical IPA thang. So what it has less alky. Its just as volatile as a typical ipa. Long bitter rude finish like any ipa. At least it comes across rather fresh in personality.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home after work on a nice summer Monday night. Appearance is a carbonated gold with a moderate white head and a ton of yeasties, kinda looks gross. Aroma of light citrus, light grassy hops. Taste is decent, nothing outstanding, average sessionable IPA, enjoyable for the season.

Bottle from The Drinkery Derry Slightly hazy light golden color with a frothy bubbly withe head and a fair bit of floaties in my glass. Nice nose! Pine earthy with bits of tropical fruit and a hint of bready sweet malt. Slight minerally flavor that lingers into the finish. Bready sweet up front with hints of pine and fruit. Smells a lot better than it tastes but still not horrible.
