Poured from 330mL can (bb 11/2024). Near black with small beige head. Wood glue aroma, whiskey barrel, mild floral perfume, lots of slightly burnt molasses on the taste. Just okay, a bit messy.

Pours dark brown, slightly reddish, with a fine head of light brown foam. Smells heavy whisky, some fruityness. Pretty sharply boozy at first, slowly smoothing out. Good bitterness, nicely malty, and plenty of whisky. Pretty licorice'y, a touch of peat.

330mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals some rather harsh whiskey barrels, brown sugar, and perfumey character. Flavour is quite sweet, with lots of perfumey whiskey, sweet caramel, and brown sugar. The whiskey barrel does not taste high quality -- there's a pronounced perfumey character than isn't all that pleasant. And the sweetness is almost cloying. This isn't too good.

330ml fromThe Gull (thx, Alex!) @ home. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: roasty, some strange ethers, probably coming from the barrel. Taste: sweet, good body, tons of ethers. A bit smoky and roasty aftertaste. Overall: body and appearance arevery nice, but aroma and taste are just ok.

Jet black and brown with a rich light brown head. Insanely boozy, green apple, blond woods and rum raisin. Much like the nose with some chocolate and some coffee bean in the finish. Love the whisky, but this is a bit overboard.

330 ml can. Pours a dark brown with full head. Aromas of oaky scotch and sweet malts. Strong scotch flavors, with green oak, caramel, brown sugar and soft toasted malts. Sour malty finish.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, tasted side by side with the 19.10
The colour is almost black, it seems more viscous and less carbonated. Strong aroma, cacao, cherries, alcohol, dirt, light chemicals. Full bodied, sweet, some cacao flavour; possibly some Brett, unless it's a very weird whiskey; the final shows some chemicals.
Drinkable, but it's an odd experience.
