Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is dark malt, liquorice, spicy notes, caramel, roasty notes, candy sugar, hint of coffee, more laurel & liquorice root. Flavour is sweet with a pleasant roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Bit too heavy on the liquorice for my taste.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, frothy to creamy, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, beige head. Caramel malty and minimally roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of dark caramel, a touch of dark chocolate, whiffs of liquorice. Taste is bitter, herbal, roasty dark malty, hints of dark caramel, burnt caramel, a touch of liquorice. Texture is minimally more viscous than water, smooth and soft palate, medium, prickly carbonation. A tad too roasty, slightly unrelated malt flavours - so-so.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Bready aroma with toffee and milk chocolate. Malty sweet flavor, only medium bodied, with sugar, toffee and hazelnuts. Too sweet and sugary.
