Showcasing 12 hops over three kettle additions, 3 whirlpool additions and 3 fermenter additions. Cantaloupe, water melon, berry cherry, star anise, red apple, mango and pear feature in the nose, with jolly rancher and white rum to be found in the mouth. Finishes unexpectedly dry for a beer of this gravity.

Tap at Heart of Darkness, Singapore. Poured a slightly hazy golden amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, big mixed berry fruits, light floral spicy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, rich, fruity, herbal, floral dry hop bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Probably too much going on I must say. A really heavy and alcoholic beer with a plethora of competing flavours. I don’t know how anyone could drink a pint of this.
