Foeder Cerise is a sour golden ale brewed with a mix of brettanomyces and several different souring cultures. We then age it for 6 months on top of Montmorency Cherries. The flavors produced are sour cherry and cinnamon with a touch of Brett funk. This batch comes from our 30bbl Italian oak Foeders.

375cl bottle. Hazy peach pour with an off-white head. Notes of cherries, sour cherries, cherry syrup, tart cherries, mulled wine, cinnamon, spices. A very nice beer, but leaning more towards a winter warmer due to the cinnamon and over-medium sweetness. --- Beer merged from original tick of Foeder Cerise on 09 Mar 2017 at 17:33 - Score: 8

Bottle pour at RB Best. It pours a rose/orange color with an off white head. The aroma has strawberry, lemon and a little funk. The flavor has a lot of strawberries and pleasant sourness. Smooth and rather full bodied. Nice fruit character with some wood in the finish. Definitely my favorite of the American Solera beers I’ve tried.

Bottle. Pours pretty clear beautiful pinkish orange, small off-white head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is funky, barnyard, lots of cherry, stems and pits. Flavor is dry, light plus tart, light plus funk, oaky, bright cherries, clean brett. Light plus body. Sophisticated, complex, clean and really nice.
