An imperial stout where cold brewed coffee, toasted dark coconut and Dutch cocoa melt and merge seamlessly to sire this superbly smooth roast, infused with flavors so bold and dark that even He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named would stop in for a quick drink mid-mayhem.

16oz can which had been in the fridge a few weeks. Pours an opaque black with lots of frothy, brown head. Nose honestly has something odd right off the back... sort of green with cabbage but a little spoiled meat too, beyond that the traditional malt/toast/roast notes are there, some chocolate malt balls. Thankfully whatever funk is in the nose is gone in the flavor, here you have classic roast/molasses flavors, chocolate ice cream, espresso bean. Finishes full bodied but mostly dry.

Pint can from Growlers to Go, Richmond. Yea, morning drinking. I’m on vacation and couldn’t sleep (again) and plan on napping at some point. Pours black with a small, soft tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate. Flavor is smooth creamy milk chocolates, coffee, light fruitiness. Finishes bitter, but smooth. I don’t taste the alcohol, but I feel it on an empty stomach. Quite tasty.

16 oz can poured into a tulip. Canned on 11/3/2016. Black with 1.5 fingers of tan head. Aromas of caramel, roasty notes, a little coffee, semisweet chocolate. Tastes of milk and dark chocolate, cream, caramel, light roasted coffee. Full body with a dry finish. Alcohol is fairly well masked. Better than expected, good stuff.
