500 ml bottle @ Patricks. A black body with a small beige head. Aroma has dark malt, dry fruit and liquorices. Flavor is sweet and tastes like expected from aroma, very nice and a bit warming from alcohol. Fine body and a good aftertaste. Nice one.

Sample from 0,5 l. bottle. Very dark brown colour with no head. Hefty spiced up aroma with malt sweets, licorice, brown sugar, and some hard to id spices. Taste is messy and sweet, licorice, sugar, caramel malts, and dark fruits. Medium body with a sticky texture and an absent carbonation. Sweet and sticky finish. Throw everything in the pot and try to make a beer. Not a favourite of mine.

Draught @ Olfestival 2011 Kobenhavn. Brown beer with small off-white head. Sweet malty aroma, lots of anis and licorice. Very strong licorice flavour, dry bitter finish. I geenrally don’t like licorice that much and here it is no exception as it is ery overpowering.

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A clear, brown beer with a minimal sized off-white head. Sugar, raisins, prunes, some caramel and candi sugar on the nose. The flavor is sweet, with dried fruits, caramel, a touch of yeast and then some spiced hints. Full-bodied and lighlty warming, finishing quite sweet. Nice, but a bit ordinary. Rating: 6-3-7-4-14-3.4. 110527

Bottle. It’s a clear, dark reddish brown beer with a finger-thick, dark beige head leaving lacings. The aroma has a touch of sweetness, a good dash of licorice. Dried fruits and some roasted malts. Sweet, full-bodied and warming with flavors of licorice and dried fruits. Some roasted malts too. A pleasant bitterness chimes in towards the warming, licorice-ish finish. Overall, really pleasant and tasteful. I even like the warmth. 110827
