From Good Times Oakland, canned September ? 2025.
Pours a clear gold with a 2 finger head of foam. Excellent retention and lacing.
Smell is toasted malt, some light caramel, bread, some bitter notes.
The taste is bread, grain, toasted malt, not much sweetness to it, light bitter notes in the finish.
Medium bodied with lively carbonation.
Very nice and I would drink this again.

This is my 800th Top 50 rating. Also, with this rating, I have now tasted 15 of the top 50 Marzen/Festbiers in the world, including the top four! 16 ounce can from Tavour. Bright copper color is topped by a frothy beige head. Toasted malt aroma is redolent of toffee and earth. Flavor is sweet toasted malt, brewed black tea, toasted nuts and rustic bread. Subtle bitter hops lean toward cut grass and finishes dry.

16oz can from Tavour. Clear amber pour yields a thick foamy head that settles out to a thin creamy cap. Malty, toasty aroma. Taste is malty, bready, mild sweetness. Creamy feel with a dry finish.

Poured from the tap. Clear light orangey gold with small white head. Nice Bready biscuit malt, some mild caramel, with feint hop backing.

Pale amber, bright, with a thick head. Bright, fresh cracking malt, nice biscuity aromas. Same on the palate. Full and sweet. Nice malts, soft body. Just a touch of bitterness.

Draught. Dark amber with thin white head. Malty aroma with some caramel. Flavour is sweet malt with enough bitterness to keep it from getting cloying. Long malt finish

Not a bad Oktoberfest beer, but personally I prefer the ones that have a larger amount of Vienna malt in them for that roasty toasty finish that keeps me coming back for more.
