Bobtoberfest is our version of an Oktoberfest-style beer and our most popular seasonal. This beer is named for owner, Rick Allen's, late brother Bob, the person who sparked his interest in brewing lager beers in general and Oktoberfest beers in particular. Bright amber in color; rich, malty, and smooth, with a just touch of clean hop bitterness. If you can't make it to Munich this fall, this beer is the next best thing.

Orange with a white head. Toasted malt, earthy hops, medium clean and bitter finish. Slight dry end. No caramel sweetness, which is nice. Very enjoyable. Would drink this all year. (2016 version at Horse Brass Pub)

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours orange gold with a large beige head. Aroma of malt, yeast and arguably noble hops. Med body or nearly. Flavor is lifgt roast malt and definitely noble hop. finishes a bit off dry, but it’s clean, and all the flavors stand out nicely.

Bottle, bottled on 09/25/2014. Pours clear deep orange, medium creamy off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly leaving nice residual and nice lacing. Aroma is light grain, bready malts, a bit of caramel. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, malty and a bit grassy, some floral tea, a bit of acidity. Medium body, high carbonation. Solid representation of a style that is generally not my thing.

The beer is bright amber. A warm, inviting glass. Fairly cloudy and glowy in the light. Medium head of off-white foam. Decent retention and lacing. The aroma is fruit malt on top of a solid caramel base. Mild grapes, raisins, honey, light herbal note. Mildly sweet with mild hop bitterness. Very clean and clearly well made. Easy to drink. Light, creamy mouthfeel. Another really nice beer from Heater Allen.

22 oz. bottle, pours a mostly clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is very authentically German, with toasted caramel malt and crackers. Flavour is very malty, with toasted caramel malts, lager yeast and syrup. Very rich and full-bodied, surprisingly so for a 5% lager. Really great stuff.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed orange hued body with a medium white head that fades. Aromas are bready, grainy, toasty, medium floral hop, grassy, freshly baked biscuits. Clean fermentation characteristics. Flavors are bready, toasty, pils like malt character. Light, but balanced bitterness. Very clean, malty and well rounded. A bit low/lacking carbonation, medium bodied, crisp.

22 oz bottle courtesy of DA. Pour is hazed orange copper with a one inch white head the falls pretty quick with no lacing. Aroma of apple sweet maltiness with some nice sharp acidic sourness. Fresh nose. Taste is the sour, sweet maltiness to begin, with an earthy grassiness that picks up midway through. Nice transition of flavors and good complexity. The aftertaste is bitter and also a bit sour. Palate is medium-thin, quite drinkable. Nice Oktoberfest. Thanks for sending this one my way Derek!
