(Bottle, vintage 2018) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dried fruit, dates, fruit cake, treacle, apricot marmalade and chocolate. Malty, slightly roasty taste with notes of dried fruit, dates, raisins, caramel, treacle, coffee, prunes, soy sauce and a warming finish with fairly low bitterness. Almost full body, quite sweet. Rich, sweet and warming. Very nice.

Bottle split at L6 Tasting, thanks to LKS, 13/10/22. Deep mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is dried fruit rinds, earthy, brown bread, dark malts, tobacco. Taste comprises toffee, fruit cake, dark malts, brown bread, dates, brown sugar tinged, stewed fruits. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. It's okay if lacking some depth of flavour for the ABV.

As Lady Nithsdale. Dark mahogany brown colour with thin lacy head. Aroma and flavour are intense with malt loaf and dried fruits. Almost jam like sweetness, not far away from a Ruby Port. Silky and rich.

Bottle shared in London - picked up from Scotland. Pours mostly clear brown with a creamy, yellow-tan head. Toasted bready flavour, earth, dry caramel, British yeast, grain. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, some golden raisins, light toffee, toasted malts. Good, drinkable.

Older bottle, probably from Goblet, shared with Diano, 1rice and Soki. Hazy brown-amber body, off white head. Caramel, light chocolate in the aroma, big alcohol presence, but quite nice. Lean, pleasant caramelly taste, dried fruit is packed, light alcohol burn but in okay levels, good stuff!
