330ml bottle. Hazy pale gold/straw, moderate sized white fluffy head. Aroma is sweet, grains, citrus, fruity and aromatic; nice. Taste is grainy, sharp carbonation, citrus, some berries but surprisingly thin in truth. Looks the part, good aroma, smooth body but let down by the weak taste.

The unofficial beer of the MRC, the running club set up by Mikkeller and a few partners, in Belgium represented by a local branch in Leuven; can from Geers in Oostakker near Ghent. Irregularly cobweb-lacing, eggshell-white, 'wavy' and bubbly head, very irregular in shape but well-retaining apart from some gaps here and there, misty straw-yellow blonde robe with greenish hue, the mist pierced by lively sparkling. Aroma of unripe pear, green banana, sourdough, wet corn flour, freshly cut cucumber, hint of diluted lemon juice or young fresh lemonbalm leaf, raw potatoes, touch of fresh dill. Fruity onset but remaining fairly restrained in sweetness, notes of unripe melon, green pear and freshly cut apple, softish carb, minerally flavour aspects here and there, soft and lean body; somewhat soapy, very cereally body, clear sourish 'wheatiness' throughout with a light doughiness and breadiness to it, medium dry finish with aromatic hop accents of fresh dill, lemon flesh, lemon grass and green peppercorn, but all remaining very subtle and subdued; soft and gentle floral bitterness positioned at the back, but the bready wheat effect and 'green fruity' notes prevail. Quite 'unassuming' for a Mikkeller, I assume this is intended to quench the thirst of the Mikkeller runners after a race and I also assume - not being able to judge for myself - that it works that way fine. Nothing unpleasant here, very easily drinkable, modern wheat beer - but much, much more an American style wheat ale than anything in the larger 'pale ale' family so the APA categorization here seems a bit misplaced.

Bottled 330ml (bought from Mikkeller CPH)
Somewhat hazy very pale yellow colour, small white head, bubbles. Grainy, grapefruit pulpy aroma. Light-bodied. Light fruityness, light grapefruit, lighty minerally. Very easy, even watery, probably for a reason for being "after-run" beer. Harmless but not very interesting.
