August 2020: 330 ml bottle, from Être Gourmet, Belgium. ABV is 9.0%. Cloudy dark brown colour, moderate to small beige head. Aroma of malts and smoke, hints of dark chocolate and cherries. The flavour is distinctly fruity (hints of cherries again) and moderately smokey and roasty, not too sweet. Easy drinking for its strength, quite enjoyable.

A dark brown beer, a head is medium and light brown. Aroma has dried fruits of raisin, toffee, light herbal earthyness. Taste has dried fruits, raisin, prune, smooth maltyness, toffee, light herbs. Medium+ bodied. There are nice nuancees, but the final touch is missing.

Bottled. Deep brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is raisins, some candy sugar, mild alcohol, toffee and some toffee tones. Flavour is raisins, figs, some wood, alcohol and mild syrupy tones. Sweet and rather boozy.

Bottle from High Point, Vancouver
Dark amber/brown colour. Some aroma of malt and balsamic. The body is ok, the residual sweetness is limited, some malt, caramel, balsamic, and light alcohol.
It's ok, but not really complex.

(Bottle) Pours deep brown with tiny tan head. Subtle aroma - toffee raisins and smoke. Great palate - full bodied, slightly sticky, gentle fine carbonation. Dark toffee, smoke, dried fruit, tartness. Very good.

Sensory Session #55: opaque, black color and a small tan head. Only slightly smokey, malty sweetness, faint chocolate and dried apricots as it gets warmer. Rather short finish. Expected some more smoke and cookies as stated at the label.
