Autumnal Red Ale. Tawny in colour with a lasting, medium, off-white head of lacy bubbles, Red Fox features a little yeast and forest fruit on the nose and offers a taste of biscuit and caramel with the tang of blackberry, toast and marmalade in the finish.

Cask at the Salisbury, Green Lanes. Ruby red with a small white head. Aroma gives a bit of cherry and wood. Maybe a bit of strawberry. Taste is quite smooth and a bit sweet. Thin bodied but not upsettingly so. One sip halfway down really tasted like marzipan strangely. I was surprised that I quite liked this. --- Beer merged from original tick of Red Fox (Cask) on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6. Muligens litt overmoden frukt? Lett å helle innpå. Tror denne kunne gjort seg som juleøl.

Half of cask on the Fullers brewery tour. A re-rate following a terrible pint of this at the Counting House. A deep dark brown in the glass with a small and well laced head. The flavour was all malts and a sweetness coming through on the flavour profile that was intriguing. Normally I hate that in a beer, but this was very well balanced with the malts and some bitter hops. Very much an autumnal beer and one that I would have again; as long as it is well kept.

Clear red beer, off-white head. Tangy fruit aroma. Sugary apple taste, some caramel, a light maltiness. Other than a little at the front and back there’s not much bitterness. A touch watery in mouthfeel and aftertaste.
