Gamme Grande Cuvée. Unlike typical porters, our Baltic Porter is brewed in the traditional style as a bottom-fermenting lager. The result is a luxuriously round, but robust, black beer with a mild bitterness. A special blend of roasted malts provides this porter with flavors and aromas of chocolate and coffee, and you’ll enjoy it’s subtle hints of cherry-smoked malt.

On tap at BlackLab, Barcelona. Pours black with brown head. Aroma of chocolate, alcohol, fruity sweet. Dark dried fruits (raisins). Nice dessert beer.

Flaska från Saveur-bier. En stor och riktigt söt porter med mycket söt torkad frukt, russin, choklad och mycket mört söt malt. Mjuk rund utan kanter, beska eller kärvhet. Kanske Imperial Schwarzbier beskriver smakupplevelsen bäst. Lite väl sött men annars riktigt gott.

Poured from the tap. Dark brown with dissipating light tan head. Tobacco, mild coffee, some chocolate and leather, sweet molasses. Excellent beer.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2014) Dark brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, raisins, brown sugar and coffee. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, chocolate, coffee, spices, brown sugar and a generous spicy/roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite complex and slightly fruity porter with lots of things going on. Still in good balance. Lovely beer!

on tap @ Erzbierschof. Beautiful dark brown appearance with beige head. Sweet coffee notes, smooth mouthfeel. Great, but very sweet.

Bottle at SBWF 2014. Opaque black liquid with a small to medium light tan head. Aroma of bread, pumpernickel, chocolate, licorice and light coffee. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of pumpernickel and dried fruit. Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Quite nice.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty grainy chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty sweetish caramel and chocolate finish.

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours blackish brown with a frothy mocha head that leaves some thick trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet and malty with roasted malts, caramel, sweetened coffee, dark chocolate, butterscotch, moist soil, charred wood and toffee. Taste is sweet and malty with roasted malts, caramel, toffee, raisins, prunes, dark chocolate, brown sugar sweetened dark roast coffee, sweet liquorice candy, hay and soil. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny viscous and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and malty with roasted malts, caramel, butterscotch, sweetened dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, charred wood and soil. Sample at SBWF 2014. Black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, some dark fruit, toffee and vanilla. Similar sweetish taste. Some warming alcohol in the finish. A nice desert beer.
