New England’s Original IPA | As enjoyable today as it was in ‘93, IPA is a regional favorite and a craft beer classic. Styled after an English IPA but brewed with distinctly American hops, it’s citrusy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced– as perfect on a Cape Cod beach as it is in a VT ski lodge or Boston dive bar.

From bottle. Clear dark golden color with white head. Malty and light hoppy aroma, bread, caramel, grass, pine, light citrus. Sweet and light bitter taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle from ASDA, Halifax. Deeper golden with a small head. Fuller-bodied IPA, not showing its strength in its taste, with a decent dryish pale ale texture.

Lemon and hops aroma. Pours dark amber with decent carbonation. Tastes like a typical IPA, hop influence isn’t too strong but also not particularly unique. Palate is simple, some lemongrass and malt. Well balanced and drinkable but nothing special.

Lively, clear amber beer with a fading white head. Smell is light, bitter citrus with a taste to match though it's got a but of an unfortunate bitter, almost chemical-y edge to it that puts an unfortunate twist on an otherwise decent, crisp IPA.

12oz bottle, poured into straight sided 16oz glass from Good People brewing Co, Alabama at home on 15th March 2018. Golden/light amber body, slight haze, wispy white head, even though I poured it robustly. Malty lead in the nose, some light floral notes mingle in there too. The taste is again malt led, semi-sweet molasses blending nicely with the Cascade hops. Decent enough.
