Fyrbøderen er den person, der fyrer op under kedlen på f.eks. et damplokomotiv og sørger for at udnytte brændslet optimalt, så dampen holdes på et konstant tryk. Fyrbødernes storhedstid sluttede da damplokomotiverne blev udfaset i 1950’erne. Arbejdet med at skovle kul og fylde vand på kedlen krævede både teknik, præcision og styrke. - Lidt som når vi brygger denne øl, hvor bryghusets grej presses til det yderste med over et halvt ton malt pr. 1000 liter, velafstemt fordelt på 8 malttyper. Læn dig tilbage og tillad dig selv en langsom nydelse af denne powerstout med noter af kaffe, lakrids, tørv og en lille smule kul.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Near black, small head. Aroma of vegemite, coffee and licorice. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel, Earthy licorice, vegemite, oatmeal porridge, caramel and coffee. Mid bitter finish.

Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, some floral and toasted tones with roast and mild liquorice as well. Flavour is liquorice, roasted malts, some toasted tones with a bit alcohol. Dry palate. Fermented quite dry.

Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, and a bit of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, smoke, coffee, and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle, 11.5%. Very dark brown with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malt, chooclate, sweet, coffee, liquorice, hop and medium bitter.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense, creamy and lacing beige head. Aroma is subtle bus has some roast and vanilla. Rich, sweet roast, quite some licorice notes. Quite smooth on the palate, but the finish is rather harsh with an almost astringent malt bitterness. Somewhat rough. 30420
